The Silk Purse EP is indeed a jewel in our Roaster. This acclaimed five-song classic is Canadian indie pop at its finest. The tempos are driving and energized, the vocals are creamy-dreamy and the keyboards are layered and melodic as all get out! The five songs on the Silk Purse EP bring to mind elements of Stereolab and The Sea and Cake, drizzled with the chiming, reverb-soaked guitars of the Smiths. The breezy vocals evoke classic My Bloody Valentine without being lost in the wash.
